If you choose to use Greenglade, then your child (or children) will spend a significant amount of their early years with us. We want to work with you to ensure that we meet all your child’s needs, that your child has fun and that we care for your child in accordance with your wishes.

Our philosophy sees parents as our partners
We believe our Nursery and Forest School should be open, welcoming, and transparent. We warmly welcome drop-in visits, though booking in advance means we can make sure you get the most from your time with us, seeing both settings at their best and chatting with the right members of our team. Parents are welcome to discuss any aspect of their child’s care with their key person or senior staff, and time is always made to address questions or concerns.
At the end of each day, parents receive a verbal update about their child’s day, including care routines, activities, and experiences. Parents also have online access to Parentzone, where they can view detailed daily reports, photos, and their child’s full Learning Journey throughout the Early Years Foundation Stage.
We keep parents informed through seasonal newsletters, additional updates when needed, our social media channels (Facebook and Instagram). Parents have full access to all policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, many of which are available via the Parent Portal. A clear complaints procedure is in place to ensure any concerns are managed promptly and appropriately.
Parents have full access to their child’s records and are encouraged to meet with their key person or senior staff at any time to discuss progress and wellbeing. We value parental feedback, and suggestions from families help shape our practice across both the Nursery and Forest School.

Parentzone
As part of our commitment to transparency, we use Parentzone, a secure online system provided free to all parents, giving instant access to their child’s nursery records.
Through Parentzone, parents can:
- View their child’s Learning Journey, daily reports, photos, and videos, and add their own comments
- Update personal contact details
- Access their full financial account, invoices, and payments
- View and manage bookings, request additional days, or swap sessions
- Send and receive messages and notifications from staff
- Access newsletters, emails, and the Parent Hub, which includes activities, nutritional information, and recipes
Parentzone also enables staff to accurately track each child’s development and record key milestones. The system can be accessed on any computer, tablet, or smartphone via a dedicated app.
When a child leaves the Nursery, parents receive an electronic copy of their child’s complete Learning Journey, including all records, photos, videos, and assessments.
