New CoronaVirus Restrictions
31/07/2020
We are open as normal today.
We have had parents contacting us this morning, having heard on the news and read social media reports about new coronavirus restrictions being imposed on Calderdale, Bradford and Kirklees.
There is nothing in the new Government guidance that states nurseries or other forms of childcare facility have to close. We have been contacted by a representative of the Local Authority who has informed us that the announcement on the Calderdale website detailing the closure of Nurseries is a mistake and incorrect. If any parent has any doubts they should just contact us.
We will notify all parents immediately if there is any change to the current position.

The benefits of outdoor learning
We passionately believe that children experience a huge range of benefits when they are playing and learning outside in natural environments. The natural world provides an infinite amount more learning resources and opportunities that can ever be provided in a single room or playground. This why we have purchased a completely secure and private nine acre field in Denholme, which it is in the process of developing into our own forest school facility, where children can be taken to enjoy playing and learning all day in a totally natural environment. We are not alone in believing this as a large number of studies show that children benefit from learning outdoors in many ways.
